Only news so far is that Brandon gets to host the 2010 Memorial Cup.

That might be all we get for now.

Based in Calgary, Mr. Gallacher is not scheduled to take over control of the Portland WHL franchise until the closing of the sale is concluded later this month. The approval to transfer the franchise to Mr. Gallacher included a condition that the Winter Hawks franchise remains in Portland. The Portland Winter Hawks franchise has operated in Portland since the 1976-77 season.
